As a home owner of a 98 acre property located in Southern Ontario deemed PSW I'd like to add my comments for consideration, please. My partner and I sought permission to rebuild an accessory structure recessing it 7 meters farther away from its original foundation with a slightly larger footprint. We have done much work over the five years to improve the ecology of this property, all under the necessary Permitting. We have also supported our local conservation authority in their onsite monitoring activities.
We completed a year Environment Impact Study and after determining that there were no adverse effects to Erosion, Flooding, Pollution, not a Dynamic Beach, Wildlife or Vegetation we were denied permission for conservation approval to rebuild in this area. We appealed to the conservation authorities Board and were again refused permission. The fundamental reason for refusal is that it goes against the PPS even though, as proposed in our proposal, the works we proposed would net increase the amount of Wetlands on this property. I believe any revised PPS should make considerations for this type of situation. Thank You.
