We write in support of the updated Regional Official Plan for Waterloo Region that has been submitted for approval. It is the result of 2 years' community consultation, and was unanimously endorsed by all the cities and townships in our Region in August. Hundreds of community members spoke out in favour of it at that time. We love its vision of 15-minute communities, 121,000 new homes, and the protection of our natural and agricultural lands.

As an environmental charity serving this community, we endorse this plan and urge the province to approve the proposed Regional Official Plan.
