I believe the Cap and Trade…

I believe the Cap and Trade system should remain in place. It has been shown to work well in places where implemented, and has been recently recognized by the awarded Nobel Prize in Economics.

Moreover, I also worry that in removing the system, the Province of Ontario's actions in the future will be untrusted by business and investors, if such foundational systems are routinely added and removed depending on whichever political party is in power -- especially without giving new systems time to be researched thoroughly to observe the results.

If major economic systems such as Cap and Trade and taxation platforms are to be added and removed so quickly, I believe it will become untenable to invest in the Province of Ontario for the long term due to a lack of predictability and stability. I know first-hand that capital investment within Canada is already quite risk-averse (and overly so, at that) in comparison to the venture capital culture in the United States, especially in the growing technology sector.

I personally find this to be a sign of instability, and gives me pause in further investing in businesses in the Province of Ontario, and I feel I am not as risk-averse as the majority of Canadian investors.
