Poor choice. I support cap and trade. Also money raised from other programs was being diverted into improving the efficiency of various hospitals and other public buildings why cancel things that were working?
Cap and trade was allowing businesses to determine how best to reduce their carbon Emissions. In removing it with no other alternative in place is immature and unreasonable for businesses to adapt to. Talk about a hostile act!
The gas tax should also be reinstated to discourage the use of individual cars.
The government should be insisting that any new building meet R2000 criteria with the highest levels of efficiency possible for public and private buildings and housing developments.
Please rethink your actions and do not politicize a truly neutral and very important issue - we all need to reduce carbon emissions now. Take meaningful actions and do not cancel cap and trade.
