This bill does nothing for the people of Ontario. It is a shame and an example of a hasty partisan approach in an attempt to score points with a base. The Ford government should be taking its role as a government seriously and putting aside petty differences and look to making decisions, implementing approaches and protecting our future generations. In particular, climate change is a key component of ensuring there is an Ontario left to those in the future, and the approach of green energy programs, initiatives, renewable and alternative energies could have seen Ontario become a global leader, fostering growth, development and innovation. While those programs have all been scrapped, cancelled or cut at the knees, the further cancellation of an act that would ensure carbon was monitored and managed in a well intended manner is now being eliminated as well.
