Do not cancel cap and trade! Carbon pricing has been shown to be a far more effective and efficient means for reducing carbon emissions than government controls. Most economists agree that higher prices encourage firms and consumers to find alternatives to carbon-based products as well as encourage new technologies that will make those substitutes competitive.

The future of Ontario's economy lies in the development and manufacturing of green energy technologies. Cap and trade helps achieve this. The UN has stated that without reducing our carbon emissions by half over the next dozen years, the effects will be catastrophic. We must act now!
