Dear Ford Government,

Extremely disappointed in the cancelling of cap and trade, a program which helps to curb carbon emissions, as well as directing provincial funding to much needed service and infrastructure updates throughout the province.

The Ford government platform claimed to speak to a balanced budget, yet how will this be accomplished through the cancelling of this major revenue stream? You are harming all Ontarians, particularly are most vulnerable communities including women, children, and people of colour. Individuals who rely on the revenue generated to fund low income housing development. Not to mention the devastating impacts to the environment.

How will Ontario combat climate change? How will Ontario LOWER the number of cars on the road while increasing public transit infrastructure?
