As long time residents of oro medonte we are opposed to this permit. We are concerned for the wildlife, fish and having clean water for the residents of oro medonte. Our water comes from the two community wells in shanty bay. In dry spells over the past couple of decades there is not enough water in the shallower of the two well and we are switched to the only other well. What impact will this have if hundreds of litres of water are being pulled every second of every day just to clean sand snd gravel? This in ludicrous.
