I am an Ontario tax payer, I’m proud to live here, and to have started a young family here. We cannot cancel the cap and trade program. Ontario needs to make a serious commitment to the health and safety of future generations by investing actual dollars in fighting climate change. Revenue generated by the cap & trade program offers an opportunity to do that. The time to invest in the renewable energy industry is NOW. Energy retrofits for private and public buildings need to be made affordable. EV cars are coming, don’t let the people of Ontario be left behind. We cannot afford to cancel the cap and trade program. I write all of this on behalf of my daughter, her peers, their children, and so on.
