There is a tonne of misinformation about cap and trade circulating, and that is disheartening, but for the sake of simplicity, I'll narrow my thoughts and concerns down to one, which I believe is the most compelling.

The major complaint about cap and trade seems to be the cost on taxpayers of this province.

Especially given the recent IPC report, it is a fact that it will cost us all far more $ if the temperature of our planet continues to rise.

I know that we don't want to make life more expensive, for anyone, and for that reason alone I would support Cap and Trade.

But it is not the only reason. Also, there are my kids' futures to consider.

Please don't scrap Cap and Trade. Use it. Improve it if you think it's not working as well as it could. But don't scrap something that is genuinely helping to make a difference in mitigating climate change.
