Cancelling cap and trade in Ontario is morally bankrupt and economically unwise. A price on carbon is the best strategy to reduce GHG emissions that the world's economists have developed. Voluntary stewardship by industry does not work. We have proven that. If industry alone could keep GHG emissions down, then we wouldn't be on the verge of a 2 degree increase in global temperatures.
