This proposed site has not done its duediligence, the traffic is the biggest concern. They are saying up to 700 trucks a day, 7 days a week 24 hrs a day. This is not a a city centre where stuff is happening all hours of the night, it is unacceptable to have that kind of traffic at all hours of the night, and using roads that local tax payers pay for and use to have this amount of truck will destroy our roads, this will also increase the risk of accidents to our local community, the proposed location is not remotely close to the highway, the trucks would have to drive a minimum of 30 min on local roads. Most drivers that drive these types of trucks are also the most inexperienced drivers. I can already for see the carnage they would create.
Our area is very tired of taking the GTA garbage. There has to be a closer location to the gta for their own waste. I’m strongly opposed to this site, not only for the environmental impact in our area but also the impact of the increased traffic.
