This proposed landfill…

This proposed landfill/recycling facility needs to be STOPPED. A full EA is necessary. There are so many endangered species and wildlife that live in and around Molly's Creek and the Sydenham River. We need to protect this area at all cost. This company has been been very deceitful from the very beginning. They have not given any of us a straight answer to the questions we have. They keep saying a "recycling" operation. It will not be that. They want to reopen a dormant landfill that has not been in operations for almost 50 years. In that old landfill is flyash which is very harmful to our health if disturbed. 500 tonnes a day of asbestos will be brought in. Again very harmful to our health. The noise and traffic pollution. Our infrastructure cannot handle 170 trucks coming and going 24/7. We live in a farming community. During planting/harvesting season there is a lot of farm machinery on the roads. There are many school buses also. The truck drivers with this company do not a good rating. Have read many stories from drivers that have been "bullied" on the road by this company. Our water wells are going to become contaminated. At the meeting was told that the aquifer is at 60ft, so wells will not be affected. I beg to differ. I have 3 wells. I also have all of the certificates for these wells. The aquifer is NOT 60 ft. I have 2 wells at 30ft and one at 28FT. So how is not going to affect my water wells. Not only my well but many others in the area also. The government NEEDS to stand up for the people of Ontario. Which they never do. If this landfill/recycling operation is allowed to go through then we only have this company and the government to blame. Our daily lives are at risks. Our children's lives are at risk. Our health is at risk. For once think about the people first. Not money. And this is what this company is all about. They don't care about the us or our lives. Only money. So PLEASE DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN. STOP THIS PROPSAL. Our land, our community, our livelihood, will be ruined if this goes through.
