Has anyone in city hall (i.e. Mayor Del Duca or Councillor Jackson or Councillor DeFrancesca) driven in the area? The traffic is horrendous and getting worse. In the Weston Downs neighborhood, cars are driving through what was once a peaceful and safe area but because of the gridlock, the cars are spilling into our neighborhood from Weston road and causing major traffic at rush hour.

We had petitioned city hall to do something about that but they did nothing to alleviate the situation. Now there is a plan to build four 32+ storey apartment buildings in this area without any planning or transportation studies? What kind of impact will this have on an already-exacerbated traffic situation?

My question is what would the mayor or councillor gain from allowing this? It's definitely not for the good of the city's citizens since we are already suffering from incredibly incompetent urban planning.

If this passes, we need an independent inquiry and study into who the contractors and builders are, how they got the permission to move forward and what is their association with any of the city staff (i.e. mayor and councillors who are allowing this to happen).
