I listened to the previous Minister of the Environment carefully explain Cap and Trade and I found the arguments convincing. A recent report (by an author with conservative credentials) said that a carbon tax will put money in our pockets and more money in the pockets of the poor. There is a strong case for a carbon tax.

There is also an urgent need to address climate change and I think Bill 4 is a big step backward.

I cannot support a government that shows so little leadership on this file.
