Walker Aggregates Inc. - Environmental Compliance Approval (sewage)

This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (industrial sewage) for on-site sewage works related to the collection, transmission, treatment and reuse of wash water from existing aggregate washing operations at the existing Edgar Pit property, located at 1540 Line 7 North in Oro-Medonte, Ontario.

The wash plant operation is a closed-loop system with two existing ponds. Water is taken from the source pond and after use in the washing operation, the runoff drains to a settling pond, where the fines settle out. The water then drains back to the source pond for re-use in the wash plant.
