Description of instrument
Goldcorp Canada Ltd. (as to 51%) and Goldcorp Inc. (as to 49%) has submitted a Mine Closure Plan for filing by MENDM as required under the Mining Act.
The Hollinger Tailings Management Area is a historic site that has been disturbed by past tailings deposition. Between 2009 and 2012, the site underwent rehabilitation to chemically stabilize the site, control runoff and erosion, and establish an appropriate cover. The focus of this Closure Plan Amendment is to describe the rehabilitation program at the site, current site conditions that reflect the rehabilitation program and detail an appropriate site-wide monitoring program for the future.
