This proposal was for a Renewable Energy Approval for the construction, installation, operation, use and retiring of a Class 4 wind facility, consisting of nine (9) wind turbines, with a total name plate capacity of 32 megawatts.
The facility was proposed by Eastern Fields Wind Farm LP and titled Eastern Fields Wind Project.
On July 22, 2019, Eastern Fields Wind Farm LP requested to formally withdraw their Renewable Energy Approval application. The ministry has withdrawn the application and closed the file.

Description of instrument
This posting is for a proposed Renewable Energy Approval (REA) by Parc Eolien Champs De L'Est (GP) Inc. / Eastern Fields Wind Farm (GP) Inc., as general partner for and on behalf of Parc Eolien Champs De L'Est Sec / Eastern Fields Wind Farm LP (Renewable Energy Systems Canada Inc.) for the Eastern Fields Wind Project.
Project components will be installed primarily on privately-owned agricultural lots, with portions of the electrical collector system to be located within municipal and county road right-of-way allowances within the Municipality of The Nation and the Township of Champlain, United Counties of Prescott and Russell.
This is a Class 4 wind facility with a total expected generation capacity of up to 32 megawatts.
The Eastern Fields Wind Project is proposed to consist of nine wind turbines, a substation, and associated project components/infrastructure.
The proposed facility is considered to be a Class 4 wind facility under the Renewable Energy Approval regulation (Ontario Regulation 359/09) under Part V.0.1 of the Environmental Protection Act. Applications for Renewable Energy Approvals are required to be submitted in accordance with the Renewable Energy Approval regulation for consideration for approval.

This comment period is for the public to review the proposal and provide comments and input directly to the ministry.
Within 10 days after the posting of this instrument proposal notice, the proponent will
- publish a notice in the local newspaper to advise the public that this proposal has been posted on the environmental registry for comment; and
- make available copies of any documents submitted as part of the application by posting the documents on the proponent’s website, if the proponent has a website. Note that this requirement is set out in sections 15.1 and 15.2 of the Renewable Energy Approval regulation
