We don't have the luxury anymore of trial and error. We must move forward, and move fast. Ontario should be a leader and trail-blazer if needed in implementing green policies. What this bill does is takes us back to the times when the scientific evidence was still not 100% convincing.

I do not support the cancellation of cap and trade. We need to move forward with action on climate change and cannot afford the time to debate and search for the perfect instruments. Cap and trade may be imperfect but does have an effect.

I want legally binding emissions targets in line with our obligations to the Paris Climate Agreement. I want Ontario to be 100% powered by clean energy by 2050.
And I want Ontario to end subsidies and handouts for fossil fuel companies and redirect this money to clean energy solutions.
Repealing an effective climate change program is foolhardy and quite simply at this late moment in human history, murderous. There is NO climate change plan that does not involve the taxpayer.
