This government will have to do more with less that is what they've inherited and that's what the books seemingly show. Services such as healthcare and education will not decrease in their demand of funds especially in light of an aging boomer population. Read more

We must keep the Cap and Trade Act. Losing the funds has impacted entities I didn't even think about (schools, bike infratstructure). Neither the school boards or municipalities are able to source alternative funds with such little notice. Read more

I find the Bill extremely disappointing. 1. It provides no specific targets for Carbon emissions. 2. It provides no deadline for the plan that the Minister must produce. 3. The Bill will require the Minister to produce 'regular' reports, but there is no defintion of regular. Read more

Experts agree that we are heading for climate disaster and that carbon taxing is one effective way of preventing this. Please keep the carbon tax. I am prepared to pay the costs now to prevent my children and grandchildren from suffering the devastating effects of climate change in the future .

This Bill is utterly ridiculous, and also quite possibly illegal. Under the Environmental Bill of Rights, Ontarians are guaranteed a clear and accountable consultation process whenever Bills are introduced that affect their rights to clean air, water and land. Read more
