Do not repeal cap and trade. It is a program that has been proven to work in other jurisdictions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions AND stimulate the economy. While conservative governments may not care about the former, they care greatly about the latter. Read more

Given that in our lifetimes we will see Climate Change disastrously change our ability to live on the only planet we have, this is shameful. The Ford government’s inability to listen or represent the people of Ontario in this and so many other matters, is shameful.

Ontarians worked hard to achieve this plan, with over 1,500 people attending consultations in 14 communities all across the province and thousands more giving feedback online. Premier Ford wants to destroy something with widespread support. Read more

Please do not cancel cap and trade. It holds corporations responsible for pollution, and we need something to do this. I’m worried about climate change and how it will impact us and our kids in the near future. We are already seeing it’s effects with wildfires across Canada this past year. Read more

Ontario, and Canada, need strong and viable climate action plans to assist in halting where the planet is headed. Which is catastrophic disaster. For example, it’s October and SW Ontario just finished yet another round of unseasonably warm temps. Read more

The dissolution of this cap and trade is ridiculous. Cap and trade is not perfect, but it is a working, viable tool for all Ontarians to participate, through free market mechanisms, in reducing the burden of pollutants we are putting into the air. Read more

I support carbon tax and other measures to address climate change. As Canadians we must take action and respond quickly to warnings and observations from the United Nations and from our scientists in Canada and around the world. Carbon tax is a positive way to do so!
