Bill 4 fails to match the urgency of the climate crisis and represents a major step backward in the fight against climate change. It is unfair and unreasonable to eliminate the province’s only climate plan without being transparent with the public about the plan to replace it. Read more

This will destroy the Green belt that we have tried so hard to defend and repair. This will set us back so many years and will have a lasting negative impact on Ontario's delicate and important ecosystem. Ontario will never be the same if this bill goes through. Ontario will be a waste land.

The consultation process for Bill 4 was insufficient. The current Ontario government has already shown their willingness to push through legislation in a less than transparent manner without acknowledging peer reviewed scientific research. This bill is beyond reckless. This is the result of a party acting in its own short term self interest at the expense of the citizens of Ontario for decades to come. This bill does not represent the will (or the needs) of the people of Ontario and should be fully rejected.

I'm very concerned about global climate change and the recent report is sobering. Cancelling cap-and-trade on carbon in Ontario will not help this problem and will kill a number of green energy initiatives, including ones that are already being built. Read more

I am a young voting Ontarian and I strongly oppose the government’s decision to remove Ontario from participating in the carbon cap and trade system ( in which Ontario has already been participating, with Quebec and California). I strongly support Carbon pricing/a carbon tax. Read more
