So, just to understand correctly, we bring in Drive Clean Program to help reduce smog and pollution and try to keep Dirty vehicles from getting back on the roads, Then you pull the program.... "because you don't think we need it?" Read more

I am disappointed that you are canceling this program. Since it began I find that there are a lot fewer vehicles giving off the offensive smell of un burnt gas (the dodge caravan seemed to be a particular culprit). Now we will be back to smelling these vehicles once more. Read more

Since trucks are generally the main source of air pollution, more focus should be placed on identifying trucks that are "heavy emitters" and fine or incentivize these vehicle owners to repair, retrofit or replace their vehicles. Read more

Older model gas powered farm grain trucks should be exempt as they are only used for a few weeks a year and most of them have to be leaned out to a point they will barely run to achieve a pass then adjusted back to actually be able to use to haul loads short distances. Read more

The auditor general's report did not endorse eliminating the light duty vehicle testing. Instead, it suggested "formally analyze the impact of excluding all light-duty vehicles except those in the 10 larger municipalities in the Windsor–Quebec City corridor." Read more

As a resident of Ontario, I was extremely pleased to hear Premier Ford’s announcement September 28th to end light duty emissions testing. The owner of a 1990 truck in pristine condition, I was directly impacted on a biennial basis, a process that was both costly and time consuming. Read more

Thank you for this opportunity to provide input. We support redirecting Drive Clean towards increased focus on monitoring truck emissions, so long as an effective policy with properly funded supporting programing is designed and implemented. This process can’t be rushed. Read more
