This notice is for informational purposes only. There is no requirement to consult on this initiative on the Environmental Registry of Ontario. Learn more about the types of notices on the registry.
Why consultation isn't required
We amended the Renewable Energy Approval for the Adelaide Wind Energy Centre to confirm joint ownership of the existing Parkhill Interconnect by Cedar Point II LP, Jericho Wind LP, Bornish Wind LP, and Kerwood Wind LP. The current Renewable Energy Approval does not include Cedar Point II LP as a part owner of the Parkhill Interconnect.
This notice informs you of the amendment to the Renewable Energy Approval and your right to require a hearing in respect of this decision.
The Parkhill Interconnect is located on Kerwood Road (Middlesex County Road 6), Elginfield Road (Middlesex County Road 7), and Nairn Road (Middlesex County Road 17) and private property located at 26830 Nairn Road. It is important to note that the 115 kV collection line running to the Bornish Wind Energy Centre and connecting to Hydro One Network Inc.’s existing 500 kV line is common to four wind energy facilities – Adelaide Wind Energy Centre, Bornish Wind Energy Centre, Jericho Wind Energy Centre and Cedar Point II Wind Energy Centre.
We consider this an administrative amendment and do not expect it to have any significant impact on the environment. Therefore, public consultation is not required.
Bulletin details
We amended Renewable Energy Approval No. 8980-95RSLP to confirm joint ownership of the existing Parkhill Interconnect by Cedar Point II LP, Jericho Wind LP, Bornish Wind LP, and Kerwood Wind LP.
All of the details regarding this administrative change are included in the Modification Document posted on the company’s public website.
Re-confirmation letters from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry and the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport are not required because the changes did not result in relocating any project components beyond the project location that was already assessed.
This Class 4 wind facility, known as the Adelaide Wind Energy Centre, is generally bound by Cuddy Drive (north), Napperton Drive (south), Centre Road (east) and Middlesex/Lambton county boundary (west), in the Township of Adelaide-Metcalfe, County of Middlesex.
