Why consultation isn't required

On April 1, 2020, the Ontario Government made a temporary regulation to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak. Ontario Regulation 115/20 exempts all proposals for policies, acts, regulations and instruments from posting requirements under the EBR until 30 days after the declared emergency is terminated.

Proposal details

This proposal is for an amendment to Environmental Compliance Approval No. 5021-AEUGUJ for TACC Construction Ltd. for the operation of a mobile concrete crushing unit, operating in various locations in the Province of Ontario.

The process crushes reclaimed concrete, gravel and excavated rock from construction and demolition sites into material of a specified size to form reusable construction materials or dry aggregate for new concrete.

This amendment is to include additional equipment used in the mobile crushing process, including an impact crusher, screening plant, and conveyor stackers.

Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere particulates, silica, and nitrogen oxides.
