The fact that this is even being considered in 2023 is frankly, disgusting. I must point out that this is against the wishes of most of the voting public. Such barbaric practices have no place in Ontario.

This is wrong on so many levels. Absolute animal cruelty. The Ford government should be ashamed of themselves, but we all know that they have no shame. Monsters, the lot of them. They make me embarrassed to be from Ontario.

I firmly reject the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry’s proposal to allow new licenses and the transfer of licenses for train and trial areas in Ontario. Penned dog hunting facilities are cruel to the wild animals who are subjected to various methods used to train dogs to hunt. Read more

I support animal rights and this is clearly a massive violation towards their rights. Animal cruelty has no place in Ontario or Canada for that matter. Whoever proposed this idea should be ashamed of themselves. We must look forward for progress and not revert backwards. Enough is enough.

This practice is barbaric and I am strongly opposed to capturing wild animals for training of any sort. Any facilities currently practicing this should be closed immediately. It’s 2023 - have we not learned that our wildlife needs protection?

What is there to be gained by approving this proposal? Are there no possible alternatives to training the dogs than this option? This practice has been in the process of phasing out for 25 years and there are still over 20 centers that use it. Read more
