As a taxpaying Canadian citizen of 41 years, I reject the proposal by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry to allow the issuance of new license and license transfers for Ontario train and trial areas. Read more

Opening applications for train and trial spaces after 25 years is a massive step backward into the past. These facilities have no place in Ontario. We should be increasing wildlife protections not stripping them away.

I am absolutely disgusted this barbaric activity is being encouraged by the Ministry. I strongly oppose this and believe It is a huge step backward in policy. More should be done to eliminate this so-call "sport" than encourage its growth. Read more

Why do cruel practices like this still exist? As if we arent cutting down wildlife populations as it is! Wildlife should never be taken from their natural environments and held captive by hunters. Read more

You lot are despicable. This is an obviously abhorrent and archaic practice, being reinstated so you can all go do your hunts and pretend you're real royalty instead of robber barons preying on the the people you're supposed to be helping. Do. Better.

No, bad proposal that I don’t agree with. It’s cruel to hunt animals for sport, and inhumane to capture animals purely for them to be killed by dogs essentially for fun. Bo more licenses should be issued and the practice as a whole should die out. Read more

I firmly reject the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry’s proposal to allow new licenses and the transfer of licenses for train and trial areas in Ontario. Penned dog hunting facilities are cruel to the wild animals who are subjected to various methods used to train dogs to hunt. Read more

This type of facility is unethical animal abuse. Not only should new ones not be opened, but all existing ones need to be shut down. I want to emphasize that I hold the above views in the strongest possible way. I could not be more against this proposal.
