Entirely inappropriate to be taking us back to the 1800s with this proposal. Every week, this government does something that requires the majority (not the ones who voted Conservative) to take time out to register opposition. Pull yourself together, Mr. Ford. Who’s wagging who here?!

This must be stopped. Where is our humanity? This is cruel and heartless. Nothing more than blood sport. It is a terrible display for our young people. Please reconsider this move. Miigwech!

This proposal by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is absolutely inhumane and unbelievably sickening. There is no justification for this kind of cruelty towards wildlife. I fully reject this proposal and hope the Ministry has the good sense to do the same.

I cannot believe anyone would think this acceptable, let alone justifiable. As a person who has been to 4 provincial parks in the last 2 weeks, let me just say I am tired of dogs. We need more parks that are pet free, let nature be. Read more

This is a complete step backward. Cruel to the animals the dogs are to going rip apart and dangerous to have dogs trained to do this in public. How does a dog know the difference between a coyote and a small dog?? Read more

I am strongly opposed to issuing any new licenses for such a barbaric, cruel “sport”. Hunting these defenceless animals in such a way is criminal. I hate to see this province regressing more and more under this government.

I have attended several meetings over the last 15 yrs in the region I live in regarding wildlife control. The number one thing they say is that 'the animals were here first', and that we need to be respectful of that. Read more

The practice of capturing wild coyotes and foxes and forcing them to act as penned prey, ultimately being chased down and brutalized by dogs is frankly disgusting, and I'm sickened to hear that the government of Ontario in any way condones these events. Read more

This is disgusting and all penned hunting should be banned. Penned hunting is sick entertainment. Dogs can hunt for plastic objects and benefit mentally and physically from that. It doesn’t require killing. The killing is for someone’s sick perverse entertainment. This is NOT my Ontario.

Instead of opening new applications, the province’s existing 24 facilities need to be closed immediately. I was unaware these 24 facilities existed, I am sick to my stomach, you are disgusting. Do better, think about the animals and how inhumane your actions are. Read more
