The changes of the More Homes Built Faster Acr to reduce development fees will have the effect of transferring the costs of new developments from developers to taxpayers. New developments, particular suburban ones, are already a drain on municipal resources. Read more

Everyone in Ontario would agree that we need new housing, but it has to be done right. The principal in development of "growth pays for growth" has long been a good and logical one, but it is missing from the proposed changes to the Planning Act and Development Charges Act. Read more

providing certainty in cost as well as facilitating densification is a laudable goal. However parkland in support of populations is critical to the well being of those living in these areas. Please do not reduce the relative amounts of park land per unit of population. Read more
