This proposal fundamentally alters the purpose of the Heritage Register. In Barrie, it has been used to provide identification of heritage properties. This identification has been used to allow consideration of the impact of development on heritage properties. Read more

Go for it. The current heritage provisions are unreasonable and of only serve the interests of heritage consultants and city regulators who have been captured by the advocates. Generally they result in poor maintenance of unsustainable properties to the detriment of the community at large.
