Please do not destroy our wetlands. This is clearly Doug Ford selling off our resources to his developer buddies. It is such a shame that our politicians are so crooked that they will destroy one-of-a-kind natural habitats to build more cookie-cutter homes. Read more

I do not support any initiative that reduces the amount of Greenbelt or encroaches on any other conservation area. Developing this land is directly counter to every bit of evidence that these lands need to be protected for climate change and to address flooding issues. Read more

This is a very short sighted policy change. Politicians are elected on the basis of the promises that they make. Last year's election had the current government promising not to touch the greenbelt. They are now trying to break that promise. Read more

I grew up surrounded by the Greenbelt and the Oak Ridges Marine in Whitchurch-Stouffville. I think I was one of the luckier ones to have access to such protected beauty in Ontario. To even propose to develop over what is currently "protected" is totally unacceptable. Read more

Our 20 acre parcel of land sits on a street where the urban boundary is across the street on the same road. Sewers have been proposed and I believe approved on our street. Is there an application process to request the expansion of the urban boundary to our land?

Do not touch the Greenbelt. You previously promised you wouldn't; on Twitter, May 1, 2018 you said "The people have spoken - we will maintain the Greenbelt in its entirety". We are in the middle of a climate and environmental crisis and you are (still) only looking out for your developer friends. Read more

Hi there - I am commenting to raise concerns about this approach. We must protect our vital wetlands and look at other ways to grow housing in our province. Increasing density, converting golf courses, and other methods should be explored before harming our environment.

NO To expanding into Hamilton's greenbelt! I am a resident of East Hamilton/Stoney Creek, and I do not support Premier Ford's move to expand into the greenbelt around Hamilton. The municipal council listened to Hamiltonians in 2021, and voted against it! Read more

Further development in the greenbelt will increase impervious areas that will increase the amount of flow that runs into Lake Ontario. The GTA is already seeing devastating problems with flooding from streams that start within the greenbelt and it will only become worse with climate change. Read more

This is an incredibly short-sighted plan that threatens to compromise the integrity of our drinking water systems and stormwater management efforts. I firmly oppose this action and encourage infill development, conversion of empty office space into residential space. Read more

This is outrageous.. we need to keep the green space protected as we already have a limited amount of it. What is Ford doing to keep our environment cleaner and our global warming footprint down? Not to mention how is Ford helping the Canadians that are already here? Read more
