While I do understand that every year housing becomes more and more difficult to obtain due to multiple factors, I personally do not think it is a good idea to take land from our greenbelt as that will be adding to climate change by getting rid of more greenery. Read more

The more houses we build, especially if they are apartments and small houses, Away from sidewalks and traffic. the more important the Conservation areas become. They are places for citizens to enjoy fresh air, a walk in the trees, Do not take land from the conservation areas.

This bill in its conception and in its passiing is undemocratic and corrupt. We need AFFORDABLE homes built vertically on previously dedicated land, not multi-million dollar estates built on precious Greenbelt lands. This is blatantly intended to line the pockets of the developers and Mr. Ford.

Having lived in the green belt for 40 years, there is no need to build here. We have already given up enough land for roads, sewage cleaning station and development. Taking this land will not solve the housing issue, it will only disturb the Rouge aquifers and the wildlife.
