Please do not reduce the protections on trees, wetlands, or the Greenbelt. There are plenty of ways for Ontario cities to grow in places that are built up and have transit, sewers, etc.
I support the comments expressed in the Municipal Engineers Association's response letter dated May 9, 2023, to ERO 019-6693: Evaluating Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Requirements for Infrastructure Projects. I strongly urge the MECP to consider the MEA’s comments and suggestions.
Ginoogaming First Nation believes that curbing municipal EAs will lead to less bureaucracy but will also lead to less consultation with First Nations consultation which goes against the recommendations of the TRC. Can you please comment on this?
