This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) to be issued to De Beers Canada Inc.
This application is for the approval of a temporary camp, located at the Victor Mine site, approximately 90 kilometres west of the community of Attawapiskat and 100 kilometres west of the James Bay coast, which will include the operation of a small batch type incinerator to manage camp waste that will be generated, as well as a diesel power generator and diesel fired heaters.
Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere include:
- nitrogen oxides
- particulate matter
- sulphur dioxide
- carbon monoxide
- hydrogen chloride
