My family and I, as do most of Oro-Medonte residents, depend on the aquifer to live here in Oro-Medonte. I count heavily on government - local, provincial and federal to protect my environment so that I can continue to live here. Read more

I have read the Environmental Registry for Sarjeant's request for permit to take water and at the end it states that this is a Category 3 Permit, which has as stated , "anticipated to have the highest potential of causing unacceptable environmental impactor interference." Read more

I urge you to consider our precious water resource and not allow their request for a 10 year permit; rather, protect our water resources by requiring this industry to install a system to collect, recycle and reuse aggregate washwater instead!!! Read more

Why is this provincial government so against protecting the environment? Our area is home to some of the world's purest water. Why mess with that? Sargeant should be denied access to use this water to wash gravel! Who does Douggie listen to? It's definitely NOT "the people"!

There are avenues companies can do to prevent more environmental contamination. They can reduce the damage by 90 percent if they catch and recycle water used to wash aggregate. It is imperative Ontario stands its ground and bring in new regulations to protect our water going forward.

I have very serious concerns about permitting Sarjeant to draw down even more water for it's industrial process for washing aggregate. We do not know enough about the water in the aquifer nor the impact that level of draw down will have on the water table, the over all enviroment or residents. Read more

Deny this application, on the basis, to begin with, that this water taking represents the highest risk. The Oro Moraine has some of the cleanest aquifers in the world. People depend on this aquifer for their homes, businesses and livelihoods. Read more

This proposal should definitely be denied as it is a level 3 request that could have a huge impact on the water supply for all of Oro-Medonte. Once it has been disrupted it can not be repaired. As noted in a letter I read there appears to be an an alternative method by recycling the water used. Read more
