I agree with creating an Urban Provincial Park. Please make this park and all Urban Provincial Parks wildlife refuges with no hunting or trapping under any circumstances. Please work with www.ontariowildliferescue.ca and other animal rights organizations to keep this park a refuge. Read more

Hugely supportive of this new Park. It is a model for how to increase access to nature, conservation, economic development and health benefits in Ontario.

This is a fabulous idea. There are already many hiking trails and significant wildlife areas in the proposed area. It would be a logical conclusion to preserve this land from development.

Protecting this land as a provincial park is especially important given recent threats to green spaces in Ontario. Additionally, the "urban" nature of the park is truly valuable to communities, and plans such as this should be implemented more widely throughout Ontario.

As a resident of Uxbridge I am not in support of this proposal. We already have the green space, why introduce A Urban provincial park to attract more people to this area. With the increase of traffic comes increase of garbage, affects on our ecosystems, increase in our municipalities taxes. Read more

We really need to allow mountain biking and gravel cycling in the new park. There needs to be proper planning for single track. The international mountain bike association IMBA is a great resource for planning sustainable trails.

I love the idea of setting aside this piece of land and protecting it as urban park. I’d like to stress out that there should be a lot of protected areas and protected water features of ecological significance, not mostly trails or day use areas. Read more
