I am very concerned about the plan to develop lands in Wilmot twp. This is so bad for our water and farmland. Please reinstateoriginal plans for keeping the line preventing development in this environmentally sensitive area. Read more

We don't need to build on the Regional Recharge Area. Our visionary Regional Official Plan approved in August 2022 had only minimal farmland loss and showed there were lots of opportunities within our current urban boundaries to meet all our housing needs.

An excellent report by Region of Waterloo Engineering and Environmental staff was presented to Region Council Wednesday March 20, 2024. It explained why the Regional Recharge Area must be protected from urban development. Several of the proposed new Urban Areas overlap with the recharge area. Read more

It's crucial to protect our farmland and water supply and restrict urban development and sprawl. Let's be proactive and consider our children's future. Paving over these areas will seriously affect our groundwater recharge and food supply. Please keep your promises to the people of Ontario.
