This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (waste disposal) for GFL Environmental Inc. (GFL), for a non-hazardous solid waste transfer and processing facility.
The site is a 11.4 hectare property located in Holland Landing, Ontario. The facility accepts solid non-hazardous clean wood waste including:
- clean wood
- wood chips
- wood skids and pieces, and
- wood shavings and sawdust
The operations at the facility include receiving the wood wastes and then processing the waste to reduce the wood in size, as required.
This application requests a maximum of 500 tonnes of incoming wood waste per day, with a maximum on-site storage capacity of 1,044 tonnes of unprocessed wood waste and processed wood products. GFL is requesting that receiving and shipping of wood waste/wood products may occur from 7 am to 9 pm, Monday to Sunday. The site serves the Province of Ontario.
