If the bike lanes stay, recommend requiring bicycle and other users of bike lanes to be licensed and pay a fee that contributes towards the infrastructure they use like the rest of us.

This is both flagrant overreach by the provincial government, as well as a just stupid plan. We need to be actively promoting people to stop driving and this is obviously opposite of that. On top of that this will straight up get people killed. Read more

Please don't be foolish. I am giant gearhead and have multiple cars in my family. I love to drive, and do so often, but getting rid of bike lanes will only make everything worse. Read more

"The Government of Ontario ... recognizes that accidents and lane closures can worsen traffic congestion and impact the quality of life of Ontarians" The Government is incorrect, that lane closures are the most important factor in determining traffic congestion. Read more

Keep the province out of my municipality. The province has been talking about removing bike lanes in Toronto that actually reduce traffic by taking cars off the road. They are politically motivated to make bad choices for municipalities to placate their voter base. Read more

This is an awful idea, bike lanes reduce congestion they don't increase it. It will mean more vehicles on the road, and more bikes in traffic. We need to be making it easier to create bike lanes not harder

Bike lanes should be limited to side streets and shouldn't take away lanes from high volume arteries. It's safer for cyclists to encourage them to cycle on roads with lower traffic volumes/speeds.

The name of this proposed legislation says it all, all being an inversion of the truth reminiscent of Minitrue in 1984. All reasonable people understand that more bikes and fewer cars equal less gridlock. Read more

I am against Ford's idea to rip out bike lanes. Get out of your car and use transit. I don't care if you're an MPP or the Premier - stop thinking of yourselves as something special; you're just like the rest of us and you were merely elected. Read more

This legislation is retrograde; sliding backwards. Bike lanes are the future and cars must be relegated to the past. I own a car and leave it parked most of the time. I walk, cycle and take transit when I can. Read more

I do not support this legislation. All evidence shows us that bike infrastructure reduces traffic congestion, improves safety for all road users, and benefits businesses. It will also be incredibly costly to remove already established bike infrastructure, a complete waste of taxpayer dollars.
