I bike to work, to shop, to meet friends. My street in a suburb of Ottawa has more cyclist then motorist. This is an absolutely unacceptable law that seeks to deprive citizens of their right to travel in safety. I should be struck down immediately

This is a poorly thought out proposal. To undo the bike lanes on University Ave after spending so much time installing them is a waste of taxpayer dollars. The premier doesn’t even live in the downtown core. This should go through public consultation

Cyclists are getting killed every week in Toronto because the city is made for cars. This law goes against traffic engineering literature of the last 30 years, as it’s been proved time and time again that bike lanes improve traffic and business flow. Read more

This bill will ultimately cost Ontario taxpayers millions of dollars to pass and enact – on top of the cost already sunk over decades to study, propose and implement them. It will kill Ontarians in collisions with drivers. Their blood will be on your hands. It will increase pollution. Read more

This is a ridiculous waste of resources that will result in worse traffic due to increased construction in the short term. Traffic moves better when cars do not have to dodge cyclists, so will also be worse in the long term. Read more

Removing bike lanes on Yonge, University, and Bloor goes against all urban planning policy guidance in Ontario and Toronto, will bring unnecessary safety risk to pedestrians and cyclists, and is an insulting use of taxpayer funds. Read more

This proposal is regressive to important priorities for Ontarians, like affordability, health, and climate. I will briefly address some concerns I have below, as an expert in this field. Read more

The province should ABSOLUTELY NOT remove existing bike lanes on Bloor, Yonge, and University. These have improved connectivity significantly and provides tangible barriers to allow vehicles and cyclists to both move more efficiently. Read more

The province’s solution to “fixing gridlock” is to discourage people from taking alternative transportation modes ? Where is the evidence that this will alleviate congestion in Toronto? Why are transportation planning experts in an Ontario and Toronto being ignored? Read more

This is the stupidest waste of taxpayer money. The Conservatives should be spending their time on things that actually matter - not throwing a temper tantrum because they sometimes deal with traffic. Read more

Every world-class city is working hard to limit cars on roads so pedestrians and cyclists are safer. Cyclists have a right to use these roads and their environmental impact is negligible.

These bike lanes are great. My whole family uses them including my three children. Please provide evidence to show why these bike lanes should be removed. I have not seen any. If you have no evidence, this is bad policy.
