Waste of provincial taxpayer dollars to remove lanes on roads in Toronto. This government is only focused on Toronto to the detriment of the rest of the province. Improve rural hospitals, stop screwing around with local roads in Toronto!
Bike lanes are important for this city. Provincial govt is already not supporting TTC and Bike lanes are the easiest and convenient way because traffic jams from cars are a big problem.
Please don’t take away our bike lanes
Gridlocks are not reduced by more cars. This is a basic math,
People need to get places and if there is a bike lane its more likely they'd take a bile and it would open up the road for a car.
Better for cars, better for bikes.
Ok I don't comment on these seen this on reddit
Brooooooo this is so dumb
Yall wasting like millions on three roads go build my homes buddy
Focus on that I wanna start a family bud
The bike lanes on Bloor and University Ave make life so much more easier. I regularly use it and it is always faster than when I used a car pre-covid on these roads.

This proposal is too expensive and not cost saving nor will reduce pollution or congestion. Cities should be responsible for deciding on their bike lanes. The provincial government is overreaching with this bill and will lose my vote if they pursue such blatant overreach of provincial powers.
This is the stupidest, most uninformed bill I have ever read. Ontario is not facing a highway issue. It’s facing a transportation issue, and highways are by far the most the most efficient and expensive way to move PEOPLE. Our goal shouldn’t be to move drivers, our goal should be to move PEOPLE.

Bike lanes are a necessity. Removal will cause unnecessary injury, and only make it less accessible for people to move around. Bike lanes take up very little space. Invest in public infrastructure that keeps people connected, healthy and safe (like bike lanes!)
If we're talking about investing money from the provincial budget I to making commuting better in Toronto, removing/restructuring existing street is a waste. Investing the money into TTC to make transit more accessible would be a better use of tax payer dollars.

I literally beg the Ford government to reconsider proposed removal of bike lanes in Toronto. They have a vital role in my family’s safe commute and have substantially improved the quality of our lives.

This is bad anti-evidence policy - particularly the approach with bike lanes.
It is a bad idea to encourage everyone to drive everywhere all of the time, and yet that appears to be what this bill is striving for.
As a resident of Toronto, I fully oppose the removal of said bike lines and uploading the power of bike lanes to the province.
This is and should remain a city matter.
This will not only cause more congestion, but also unnecessary construction by removing existing infrastructure. They only way to reduce congestion is to reduce car traffic through public transit and other means of transportation.
This is a municipal issue and should be left to the municipal government to determine if bike lanes should be kept or dismantled. Overall, I’m strongly opposed that the provincial government is attempting to intervene on an issue that is not in its jurisdiction.

This is not provincial jurisdiction. This is a waste of time and effort that goes against the results of traffic studies. Please follow the studies and not short sighted hunches of what would alleviate traffic in Ontario.
You know d**m well that any lane you create by removing bike lanes will be full of parked cars. This is not saving anyone time, it’s just putting pedestrians in danger in your pedantic war against Toronto.
