Don't touch the bike lanes! Some people actually live downtown and need them to get around safely! We should be encouraging more people to bike and get out of their cars which would actually reduce congestion.

Removing bike lanes will kill bike couriers, delivery employees, and daily commuters. Removing bike lanes will not decrease congestion. Focus on the under-funding of our healthcare system.

From my experience as a pedestrian, cyclist, public transit user, and driver; removing the bike lanes will make commuting worse for most groups, and perhaps have no effect on on driving. Read more

My opinion is that the Ontario government needs to stay in its own lane. I believe that local government has the best knowledge and experience to make decisions about bike lanes. Read more

Having just finishing releveling, replacing, and constructing bike lanes on Bloor and updating the bike lanes on University, Ontario now wants to spend millions to reverse its progress and eliminate them. Read more

Keep the bike lanes. Bike lanes are life-saving measures that are important to city life. Build more bike lanes. We need safe transit options for ourselves and our families, including children.

Please do not take out bike lanes that are already in place. That is a step backwards. We should be doing all we can to keep roads safe for drivers and bikers. Read more

The removal of bike lanes from some of Toronto’s busiest through streets puts public safety at direct risk. The ministry of transportation should prioritize public safety over the unfounded theory that removing these bike lanes would reduce car congestion. Read more

The province of Ontario is elected to address province wide issues not local issues. Adding bureaucracy is the opposite of the platform the government says they were elected on. Read more

This is a completely regressive bill that will undue years of work and advocacy by the cycling community in Toronto. Bike lanes are an integral part of city infrastructure that thousands of people rely on each day to commute safely to work. Further, bike lanes do not in fact increase congestion. Read more

Induced demand. The same reason why adding lanes to highways is a bad idea is why adding bike lanes is a good idea. Build it and they will come. Bike lanes save lives! The ford government has made several bad decisions over the years, but this is by far the worst.

This is a terrible idea, and you will lose my vote. I depend on Toronto's bike lanes to get to work. It is too expensive to drive and park downtown and the TTC is much slower than riding a bike. Read more

I am strongly opposed to the removal of bike lanes in downtown Toronto. My entire family uses them, including my 16 year old son on a daily basis from bathurst street to Greenwood on Bloor. A section of this has finally become safe for him. Read more

I do not support this Bill in any way. Reviewing municipal plans for bike lanes is way overreaching provincial jurisdiction and interferes with municipal planning and ability to respond to the needs and wants of local constituents. Read more

Toronto citizens do not support this legislation. Why are you forcing Toronto to remove existing bike lanes and literally help you to do this? They consulted citizens for over a decade at this point and we are finally seeing the benefits. TORONTO & ONTARIANS want bike lanes! Read more

I rely on the Yonge, Bloor, and Avenue bike lanes to commute to work year round. They help keep me safe so I feel confident choosing to cycle knowing I will come home to my family each day. Please do not put cyclists lives in danger by removing this vital infrastructure. Read more
