Stop this Act immediately and amend to remove any clause that would allow for the Province to take land for the sake of highways or any other reason the Ford government makes up in the days to come.

I am opposed to the proposal to remove bike lanes as it prioritizes motorists at a cost to others such as cyclists trying to embrace alternative and more environmentally sustainable modes of transport. Read more

I am largely concerned that the proposed act will be counterproductive, encouraging more drivers on the roads and increasing gridlock. Cycling is a green, sustainable mode of transportation; however, adequate bike infrastructure, such as bike lanes, are crucial for the safety of cyclists. Read more

I am strongly opposed to this legislation, especially with regards to bike lanes. Removing bike lanes would be working counter to Ontario's environmental and air quality goals, and would further be a massive waste of taxpayer money. Read more

I respectfully ask the provincial government to stay in their lane on this issue, but perhaps require municipal planning policies to follow a “best practices” model, based on the significant real world data collected re: bike lanes and effects on traffic throughout urban areas of various populations Read more

It’s kind of to have ask for you to not tear down infrastructure that any world-class city would adding to, not taking away. I know the GTA politicians, particularly the province, love to cater to their wealthy suburban friends, but for once can you act like reasonable human beings?

I do not support expropriating land for highway development or removal of bike lanes in Toronto. I am now a single issue voter and will not vote conservative if this goes through. It is enraging that ford would spend hundreds of millions of dollars to remove vital infrastructure.

I am writing to express my strong support for the expansion and improvement of bike lanes in Toronto. As our city continues to grow, traffic congestion remains one of the most pressing issues we face. Investing in dedicated bike lanes is a critical step in addressing this problem. Read more

This legislation will endanger cyclists and will result in deaths which the government will be directly responsible for. It is grossly unfair to people who live in the area and cannot afford expensive cars to get around. Read more

I am vehemently opposed to this bill as it is illogical and goes against all the analytics about bike lanes collected in cities in Ontario and across the world. Read more
