I drive to work maybe 2/3 of the time, and bike or take transit the rest. Even as a driver, I would much rather have cyclists safely in their own protected lane, as opposed to watching fellow drivers crowd too close or getting anxiety myself that I’m going to hit somebody. Read more

This is absolutely short-sighted and a pure lack of financial disregard for the city. The bike lanes provide access to Toronto residents to quickly and efficiently get around the city. In combination with the numerous transit upgrades, they provide people various options to get around the city. Read more

This bill is a strong overreach on the part of the province. Bike lanes should be 100% up to the municipalities to decide and should not ever be in the control of the province.

Increasing lane sizes on Bloor St, University Ave, and Yonge St. won't improve traffic by much if the bikers then have to use the regular car lanes or even worse, if the bikers end up driving cars on the road. Read more

If Bill 212 comes into effect, it will put people who rely on biking at a disadvantage. I am not someone who considers myself anti-car. I believe that cars have their place in our society but trying to solve gridlock and congestion by getting rid of bike lanes makes no sense. Read more

Please keep our bike lanes for our safety and better flow of traffic. It has been proven bike lanes save lives. Financially, Ford has ruined tax payer dollars by removing the lanes.
