Bikes lanes are important. Removing them will place more cyclists in amongst traffic in roads, which is less safe for everyone and slows down traffic further. The fact that taxpayer money, my hard earned money, will be spent to go backwards in removing bike lanes is appalling. Read more

We commute every week day on the University and Bloor bike lanes in the core, with our young children in tow. The protected lanes on both these arterial roads have been life-saving for us and many other cyclists that we ride with each day. Read more

I am STRONGLY AGAINST this bill. Bike lanes reduce congestion, as they allow alternative methods of travel. Adding further driving lanes has been proven again and again to only increase congestion as more drivers begin using it. Read more

Please don’t remove the bike lanes. It’s a waste of time, money and an excellent initiative. Bike lanes offer a healthy, affordable and safe way to get around the city which takes cars off the road thus improving traffic for everyone. Read more

As someone who lives on Bloor St and uses it frequently to drive, walk, and cycle to various destinations, I strongly oppose the removal of the Bloor St bike lanes and any currently installed bike lanes across the City of Toronto. Read more

Traffic in Toronto is an urban planning issue that has nothing to do with the bike lanes. Removing bike lanes does not remove the cyclists. Without them, you will have cars and bikes together on the same narrow road, causing cars to move slower in and around the individuals cycling. Read more

Why are y'all so bad at designing cities lol. We need more bike lanes, not less. The Bloor lane is the only solid, safe bike lane running east-west, which is super embarrassing. Figure it out.

Bill 212 does not support the goals that have been put forward as its justification. Gridlock exists, and will simply continue to worsen as a direct result of the provincial leaderships intention to further build upon the the existing urban sprawl that is the greater Toronto area (GTA). Read more

Please do not remove bike lanes. I rely on them to get to and from work, and this will make my commute much less safe. Cyclists will get hurt and perhaps even die if these bike lanes are removed.
