This proposal is to amend the Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 2382-CHJR5E for Ingot Metal Company Limited, operating a secondary copper facility that produces copper, brass and bronze alloys located in Toronto, Ontario.

The sources at the facility include melting, casting, alloying for the production of bearings, bushings and ingots. This amendment is for the installation of a natural gas fired rotary furnace, updates to dispersion modelling and assessment of compliance with ministry standards. Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere include:

  • silicon,
  • iron,
  • nickel,
  • lead, and
  • suspended particulate matter
