I am strongly opposed to this proposal. I can’t fathom how any plan that leads to the dumping of raw sewage into Lake Ontario is acceptable to anyone. This will adversely affect both human and natural use of the lake, and cause irreversible damage to the ecosystems. Please do not rush this project. Read more

Sewage dumping into Lake Ontario could lead to increased levels of pollutants, including bacteria (such as E. coli), nitrogen, phosphorus, and harmful chemicals. This could degrade water quality, making it unsafe for swimming and recreation. Read more

As a competitive athlete who has been enjoying paddling for the past 18 years in the waters that would be affected adversely by construction of the proposed sewage outlet, I strongly object to this proposal, which would have a negative impact on water quality and create potential health risks for an Read more

The lack of detail in the submitted plan, coupled with the risk that untreated sewage poses to those who use this portion of the lake - swimmers, rowers, boaters, and wildlife - makes this an extremely concerning proposals that warrants for greater scrutiny (and, frankly, an outright stoppage).

I am concerned about this proposal for the interim combined sewer at 955 Lakshore Blvd (Ontario Place) and oppose this proposal that is being pushed through quickly negating the long term work of the City of Toronto to replace combined sewers across the city. Read more

This fast-tracked push for a private company's profits will damage Lake Ontario. It is inconceivable why the Ford government desires to recklessly endager habitat and humanity over and over again beyond financial gain. Along with putting laws in place to protect them from the egregious actions. Read more

I don’t support this plan to relocate sewage infrastructure. We shouldn’t compromise this area, which is open to all Ontarians and used by local sports clubs and athletes like rowers and swimmers, for the benefit of a private spa. Big thumbs down. 👎

This project should be cancelled immediately as it is simply facilitating the building of an unnecessary private spa on the public lands of Lake Ontario. The risk of sewage entering the lake and onto the shores is real and unneeded.
