Proposal details
This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (industrial sewage) with Operational Flexibility for Hydro One Networks Inc. This application is for the approval of stormwater management works to serve an electrical power switching station (Pickle Lake switch station) located at 5 Pickle Crow Road, in the Township of Pickle Lake, Ontario which has been in service since 2022 and operates 24 hours/day, seven days/week.
The proposed stormwater management works consist of one shunt reactor spill containment pit and oil water separator to capture any electrical insulating oil that may spill or leak from the proposed oil-filled shunt reactor, and on-site storm piping network discharging to a ditch at the north-west side of the station, flowing east to Fault Creek, and then north to Kawinogans River.
