Proposal details
This proposal is to amend the Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 5246-B8MRNS for Cargill Limited for the operation of a beef processing facility, located in the City of Guelph, Ontario.
This application is for the additional equipment as well as updated dispersion modelling. The sources at the facility include existing boilers, hide puller exhaust, carcass wash exhaust, regenerative thermal oxidizer, and one new natural gas fired water heater, and five new cooling towers. Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere include:
- nitrogen oxides
- peracetic acid
- carbon monoxide
- ammonia
- hydrogen sulphide
- nitric acid
- ethyl alcohol
- particulate matter
