Massilly North America Inc. - Environmental Compliance Approval (air)

This proposal is for an amendment to the Limited Operational Flexibility for an Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. A-500- 7176184192 for Massilly North America Inc., a facility manufacturing twist cap closures for containers, located in the City of Brantford, Ontario.

The manufacturing process consists of sheet metal coating, UV printing and curing, trimming, lid pressing, cap rolling/forming, injection of food grade resins into the cap, and resin curing and cooling. This application is for the approval of a new production line, new coating line, two new thermal oxidizers, replacement of the Crabtree coater, and the construction of a new warehouse addition. Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere include:

• nitrogen oxides
• erucamide
• oleamide
• silicon
• naphthalene, and
• dimethyl succinate

The Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air & noise), when issued, permits modifications to the facility subject to limits on operational flexibility that include a production limit for the facility to be specified on the Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air & noise). The Limited Operational Flexibility conditions have an expiry date. The company will be required to make an application for amendment at that time to renew these conditions.
